Thorplands Club 81 FC Match Postponement for Junior Teams Due to Storm Darragh

Today, December 7th, Our fixtures have been postponed in response to Storm Darragh’s severe weather conditions. With the Met Office issuing amber and red weather warnings for large parts of the UK, including strong winds and heavy rainfall, safety concerns for players, supporters, and officials were prioritised.

The decision reflects the unpredictable and dangerous conditions created by gusts exceeding 70-90 mph in some areas, alongside the risk of flooding. While postponing a game is always a tough call for clubs and young players eager to compete, safeguarding everyone’s well-being must come first.
